Circular Economy
A circular economy is about working together to waste less and use more of what we already have. By sharing, repairing, reusing, refilling, and recycling, communities and businesses can keep resources in use for longer — reducing environmental impact while creating new local opportunities.

Refill
Refill your home products from laundry to shampoo. Find refill options from grains to sweets.

Reuse
Keep items in use for as long as possible. Consider using reusables rather than single use, e.g. event cups and party plates and glasses.

Recycle
Recycle items from kerb side council recycling, to those harder to recycle items as community centres and supermarkets.

Repair
Repair shops from Computers, Phone to dressmakers. Repair Cafe’s and more.
We are living through a climate emergency, but the solutions are already within our reach, right here in our communities.
A significant proportion of carbon emissions comes from the way we produce, use, and dispose of everyday items, from food and clothing to materials and products. What we often think of as ‘waste’ is actually a valuable resource in the wrong place.
By rethinking how we use these resources, we can make a real difference. Reducing waste, reusing what we can, repairing what we have, choosing refill options, and recycling properly all help to cut emissions and protect the environment.
This is where the circular economy comes in. It’s about keeping materials in use for longer, supporting local businesses, and building a culture of sharing and collaboration across Cheshire.
At Eco Communities, this is at the heart of what we do, empowering people and organisations to take practical action, reduce their impact, and create a more sustainable, resilient future for our region.

Let’s waste less and reuse, repair, refill share and recycle more
Full Circle is a Community-Led Circular Economy Programme in the region. It focuses on visible, high-impact projects that reduce waste, support local businesses, and engage residents—while aligning with council priorities on sustainability, cost of living, and net zero.
