Talks + Q&A Programme – Shaping Chester’s Future

1–2 minutes

Hosted at Picturehouse on

Sunday the 14th June

Chester’s story isn’t just about its history and the Romans, it’s something we’re still shaping every day. As the Heritage Festival closes, the Chester Green Festival begins, turning our focus towards the city’s future. Together, we explore how our actions shape its future: how we live, what we value, and the choices we make as a community. From sustainability and creativity to conservation and collective action, this programme of talks invites you to think differently about the world around you.

Throughout the festival, a diverse line-up of speakers will share ideas, experiences and practical insights on how we can all play a role in building a more sustainable, connected and resilient future. Whether it’s rethinking the way we shop and care for our clothes, repairing and reusing within our communities, protecting wildlife, or taking small everyday actions that create real environmental impact, these sessions are designed to inspire and empower.

The talks offer a chance to pause, reflect and engage more deeply with the themes that matter, from circular living and eco empowerment to nature recovery and active travel. However you choose to get involved, you’ll leave with fresh perspectives, practical ideas, and a renewed sense of how heritage and future thinking can go hand in hand.
