Whats On Including Chester Green Weekend

Chester Green Weekend is the final weekend of Great Big Green Week, with activities throughout the week ending with a big celebration in Chester. We want to shine the light on Chester to show it as a leading sustainable hub for the Northwest and bring residents along with us on a journey to make small changes to support a lower impact future.

Think ‘lots of fun activities taking place around Chester City Centre and in Grosvenor Park’ over one weekend in June (15th and 16th June) with an underlying aim of raising the awareness of what we can all do to tackle the climate and nature emergency.
The event will be free of charge so anyone can attend, they will be able to get involved in activities, workshops, walks, stalls, food and entertainment will be taking place throughout the City.

Grosvenor Park 15th & 16th June

We are in charge of the Sustainable Living & Nature Zone.

We will be hiding Green Tickets in the weeks up to Chester Green Weekend — keep your eyes peeled when you are around Chester– tickets mean prizes.

We will also be picking 20 booked ticket holders from the first 25% of bookings, so book early for an extra chance to be entered into the draw.

As part of Chester Green Weekend we are running various walking tours. All starting from the event in Grosvenor Park ending at Oh Design Foundation, with lots of sustainable stories along the route.

The Sustainable Chester Walk developed by Eco Communities, as part of  Storyhouse Women Weekend.

Katie and Gail are qualified Green Badge guides for Chester and members of the Chester Guild of Tour Guides. They regularly lead walking tours in the city for locals and visitors alike. We helped to create the popular “Women of Chester” guided walk.
